Privacy notice
Version 1.0 · Draft — to be reviewed by a regulatory solicitor
We collect your phone number, name, languages, the answers you give about your situation, and any documents you upload, so we can match you with a solicitor. We share them only with the solicitor you choose.
Where your data is kept
In the UK and EU. Card details are held by our payment provider, Stripe, not by Lawlingo. Calls are not recorded.
Fixing problems
If the app or website crashes, a crash report is sent to our error-tracking provider, Sentry, in the EU. It says what went wrong in the code and which device type was used. We remove phone numbers, emails, names and anything you typed before it is sent. Reports are deleted after 90 days.
Usage stats (only if you say yes)
If you tick “Share anonymous usage stats”, the app records which main screens and buttons you use — for example “opened Find” or “confirmed a booking” — so we can see where people get stuck. These records use a random code for your phone, not your account, and never include what you type, your name or your number. They stay on our own servers and are deleted after 13 months. You can turn this off at any time in Account → Privacy and data, which also deletes what your phone sent.
How long we keep it
Your profile, documents and messages until you delete your account. Payment records for 6 years, because the law requires it.
Your rights
You can download your data or delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Privacy and data). You can also contact us or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
